Welcome to the weird, wonderful world of Tessa Anne; The Creative Collective.
I have been a creative for as long as I can remember, from hacking up t-shirts when I was 10 years old, making custom styled fashions - to MySpace coding, self taught Photoshop editing, endless crafting session - creativity has always been in my blood.
It was only natural, being a millennial child of the internet, that I would grow up using computers and honing my craft in the digital world. I enrolled in graphic design courses, multiple times - never having the concentration to finish things to the end.
And hey, the same thing can be said today. I love starting projects but I rarely can concentrate long enough to get them done really properly.
My creative space has always been relatively small, over the years I've had little corners in apartments to create. I think collaging leant itself to these spaces, cutting, pasting and staying as neat and tidy as possible.
Once I started to work for an art supplies store in 2019, that's when all creative hell broke loose and I was prepared to take over entire rooms to create - in fact, it became a necessity when searching for rentals - spare bedroom? YES PLEASE.
I chopped and changed between collage to abstract art and back again until suddenly I realised - f*ck it. I want to do both and I don't want to be confined! Mixed media? Yeah let's go!
Now listen, it's 2026 and it's the year of the fire horse and I am feeling really ready to hone in on all the skills I've picked up over the last 16 years in social media and email marketing, working for retail and ecommerce businesses, and I'm ready to bring it all together in one crazy, colourful-fuelled, chaotic world.
I'm excited to take everything to the next level and bring you along for the ride.
If you like sassy, retro, monochromatic fuelled nostalgic artwork - then you've come to the right place. I am all about the vintage aesthetic, psychedelic vibes and niche unhinged subculture (yes, I am morbidly fascinated by cults).
All of my collage artworks are deeply influenced by retro representation of the female form - taking her from a vulnerable, lost woman, to empowered and surrounded by natural elements. I adore nature, gardening and being outside and I feel the feminine energy most strongly in the natural world.
There is often a wink, a cheeky undertone and if you don't get in then - I'm sorry! I never mean to offend, but if I do in the process... let's just hug it out.
Peace and love baby - Tessa Anne
