About The Collective

Tessa Anne is an Australian mixed media and abstract artist based in Geelong, Victoria and the home of a small but mighty creative collective.

Originally born in Geelong, I spent my teenage years in North East Victoria, where my love of nature and the great outdoors grew roots. With a background in graphic design, I’m drawn to bold, often monochromatic colour schemes, especially green (it’s a bit of an obsession). Much of my inspiration comes from the raw beauty of the Australian landscape and the adventures that take me there.

But my work doesn’t come from just one place or one version of me.

The Tessa Anne Creative Collective is an expression of the many creative personalities that show up in the studio. Each one brings her own energy, colour palette, and point of view. From the earthy, introspective nature-lover, to the sultry romantic, the playful retro dreamer, the groovy ’70s rock muse, and the nostalgic inner child who still believes in magic.

Alongside my abstract paintings, I create retro-inspired collages influenced by the pulp fiction romance covers of the ’60s and ’70s. That groovy, cinematic aesthetic seeps into my colour choices, textures, and type. Think vintage drama with a psychedelic twist. These works often feel like different voices taking the lead, each telling her own story through colour and composition.

The Collective allows me to follow intuition rather than rules, letting mood, music, and feeling decide what comes next. It’s why my work is often grouped by energy and emotion rather than medium alone. Every piece belongs to a feeling, a character, a moment in time.

When I’m not in the studio, I’m probably elbows-deep in the garden, bingeing true crime podcasts, or spiralling down a cult documentary rabbit hole.
